In short
You upload your own job history. Valerden uses it to operate the service for you — running your analysis, showing and emailing your findings, answering your support requests, and keeping the product working and secure. We do not sell your business data and we do not share it with other customers. You can delete it — or your whole account — yourself at any time.
What we collect
Your account email and name, the business details and assumptions you enter, and the customer and job records contained in the files you upload. We keep the original uploaded rows so your analysis can be re-checked and re-run. We also record simple product usage events — which screens are opened, when an import or analysis finishes — which carry screen names, counts and status only, not customer names, addresses or job rows. If you send us feedback or a support message, we keep that message and anything you include in it.
How we use it
To run and store your analysis, to show and email you your findings, to support you when you ask, and to keep the product working, billed and secure. We do not use your business data to train models, and we do not build profiles of your customers.
Who can see it
You, and anyone signed in to your account. Each business is isolated at the database level, so no other customer can read your data. A small number of Valerden staff hold an administrator role that can read customer records, jobs, imports and saved analyses; they use it only when it is needed to operate the service, investigate a fault or answer a support request.
Service providers
We rely on a few processors to run Valerden: cloud hosting and database services that store your data, a payment provider that handles your subscription (card details go to them, never to us), and an email service that delivers your account and profit-brief messages. They act on our instructions only.
Where data is stored and how long we keep it
Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure and kept while your account is open. When you delete imported data or your account, the records are removed from the live Valerden database straight away. Limited residual copies can remain for a short time in encrypted infrastructure backups, security and audit logs, and the systems of the providers described above, in line with their normal retention schedules. Those copies are not reachable through the product and are not used for analysis; they are deleted or expire on those schedules.
Deleting your data
Settings → Data and privacy has two separate actions. Delete imported data removes your customers, jobs, imports and the metrics, opportunities and pricing notes calculated from them, while keeping your account, your assumptions and your saved profit briefs — each saved brief keeps the summary it recorded, including the customer names and figures in it. Delete account removes your login and everything held under your business, including customers, jobs, imports, assumptions, saved profit briefs, feedback you sent us and your usage records; an active subscription is cancelled as part of that. Both actions take effect in the live product straight away and cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first. As described above, limited residual copies may persist temporarily in backups, security logs or provider systems before they expire.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@valerden.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
Sign-in uses your email address and a password, connections to Valerden are encrypted in transit with HTTPS, and access rules are enforced in the database on the server rather than only in the interface. Our hosting and error-diagnostics systems keep technical logs of requests and failures; these are aimed at technical detail rather than your records, but a log or error report can occasionally include fragments of a failing request. No service can promise perfect security, but we treat your business data as confidential.
Children
Valerden is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
